Pricing of a PBS Prescription
How PBS medicines are priced and how much they cost can be confusing. Below is information and resources for use by community pharmacies and consumers to understand more the pricing and costs of a PBS prescription.
Changes from January 1st 2023
From 1 January 2023, the maximum cost of general prescriptions under the PBS will fall for the first time in the 75-year history of the PBS. It’s important that pharmacists and patients understand the changes and how they will affect them.
